1977, Margaret Tan designed "Jalal" which was a great modern style featuring unprecedent kerning method and artistic combination between letters. Although Jalal is not famous in Arabic publishing but it worths to be back again as one of the major compatible Arabic fonts for its firm type set. In the 90s we saw Jalal font used in widely known Arabic children's magazine "Bassim", and that was the last time we see it in print production despite it's very workable as an excellent fixed type. |
