1978, Walter Tracy (1914-1995) the great British type designer designed "Qadi" at the Linotype division in UK, Tracy also designed other distinguished Arabic fonts such as "Medina", "Malik" & "Sharif". Qadi has been very popular amongst people -designers and readers- in Arab world, and it still delivers the best medium-sized heading styles of Arabic fonts used in print production. This typeface has experienced great success in magazines and advertising along its history. |
